Originally from the UK,
Laura-dee has been in the beauty industry for over 19 years, starting her career working on luxury cruise liners.
she then went on to work in 5* spas in Bermuda & Grand Cayman.
Her career then landed her in Sydney Australia, where she worked at the prestigious 5* Four Seasons Hotel.
Laura-dee worked in a beauty salon in Queenstown back in 2008 and like everyone, fell in love with the scenery and lifestyle this beautiful town had to offer.
Laura-dee always had the passion to pursue teaching and
in 2010 decided to return to the UK to do a 3-year teaching and assessing qualification specializing in all aspects of beauty, massage & holistic therapies.
After 3 years of hard study and long teaching hours, in 2013 she was offered the programme manager position at The Southern Institute of Technology in Queenstown.
She spent 5-years running the department & teaching the beauty therapists of the future.
In 2018, laura-dee decided to pursue her life-long dream of establishing her own beauty salon & training school and
'The House of Beauty Therapy' was born...
Based in Queenstown Central Shopping Centre, the school's training room is spacious and luxurious with facilities for up to eight students.
The school caters for fully qualified beauty therapists and trainees wanting to upskill and those who have not studied before and wish to enter the industry.
