CERTIFICATE IN SWEDISH MASSAGE
Course Includes
Theory
Learn the traditional techniques of Swedish massage, the oldest routine in massage history. Students will be able to understand the history of massage, specific contra-indications of the body, advanced anatomy and physiology and the effects massage will have on the integral biology of the body, as well as understanding the use of massage, including complimentary therapies.

Practical
Practical session includes how to effectively perform classic Swedish massage movements to the legs, arms, abdomen, back, shoulders and scalp. Understanding these techniques will help students to be able to adapt these techniques on any client and incorporate them into any massage routine.

Training: 5 intensive full days + 1/2 day assessment (approx. 30 hours)

**Students must complete 10 case studies on clients at home/in salon and then return to be assessed before a certification can be given**

CERTIFICATE IN DEEP TISSUE MASSAGE
Course Includes
Theory
Understand the advanced techniques of deep tissue massage.
Students will continue their knowledge of massage therapy and be able to understand the benefits deep tissue techniques will have on the body as a whole.
You will be able to recognise the main contra-indications related to the treatment as well as understanding the correct methods to use for specific health and muscular conditions.

Practical
Students will learn how to safely and effectively perform advanced massage techniques using a range of hand, forearm and elbow methods to apply pressure deep into the required muscles. Techniques are designed to work on safely applying pressure into the muscles without adding any extra strain to the therapist

CERTIFICATE IN PREGNANCY MASSAGE
Course Includes
Theory
Understand the advanced/nurturing techniques of pregnancy massage.
Students will learn the knowledge of pregnancy, its stress and the effects it has on the female body.
Specific contra-indications that can occur during this time as well as areas to avoid during treatment and why.

Practical
Students will establish the correct methods in helping pregnant ladies to position themselves comfortably for treatment and aiding in deeper relaxation.
You will understand how to apply classic massage movements to the body to help relieve stress and tension to areas that’s been overworked during this wonderful time.

CERTIFICATE IN HOT STONE MASSAGE
Course Includes
Theory
Understand the safe techniques to use when performing a hot stone massage.
Students will continue their knowledge of massage therapy and be able to understand the benefits hot basalt stones will have on the muscles.
You will be able to recognise the main contra-indications related to the treatment as well as understanding the correct methods to use for specific muscular conditions as well as achieving deep relaxation.

Practical
Students will learn the safe application and temperature control of hot basalt stones to specific areas of the body. Understanding stone application, placing and positioning. You will also know how to clean and sterilise your stones, taking into account the correct hygiene procedures used when preparing your areas for treatment. Techniques that are taught within this course are precise and can be used and adapted to work on any client.

Understand the advanced techniques of bamboo massage.
Students will continue their knowledge of massage therapy and be able to understand the benefits bamboo canes will have on the body as a whole.
You will be able to recognise the main contra-indications related to the treatment as well as understanding the correct methods to use for specific health and muscular conditions.

Students will learn the expert techniques of bamboo massage.
Understanding the safe control and pressure techniques of massaging with bamboo canes to specific areas of the body.
Techniques that are taught within this course are extremely precise, working on a sports related dynamic and can be adapted into any massage routine.

CERTIFICATE IN INDIAN HEAD MASSAGE
Course Includes
Theory
Understand the background history and knowledge of the ancient and traditional art of Indian head massage.
Students will learn all about chakra healing as well as specific contra-indications to treatment, the correct aftercare to be given and why it's important as well as the effects to the body both physically and mentally.

Practical
Students will perform treatment using a range of classical massage movements to the head, face and scalp. Establish the correct positioning of the client as well as understanding each massage movement individually to help benefit specific areas of concern. Techniques can be adapted to work on any client and are designed to be used on their own or incorporated into any massage routine.

Training: 1/2 day - (approx. 4-5 hours)

CERTIFICATE IN REFLEXOLOGY
Course Includes
Theory
Understand the background knowledge and history of Reflexology, an alternative complementary therapy that’s works on the feet and hands using specific thumb, finger and hand movements.
Students will learn the relaxing benefits of reflexology, contra-indications to treatment, as well as establishing each area of the feet and hands that represent areas of the body and their current medical concerns.

Practical
Students will prepare the area for treatment and be able to correctly locate each area of the foot/hand that represents the body, understanding each technique to work on problem areas.
Reflexology works as a holistic approach to help improve overall medical symptoms and concerns.

Training: 5 weeks (2 days a week) - (60 hours)

CERTIFICATE IN HOPI EAR CANDLING
Course Includes
Theory
Understanding the background knowledge of Hopi-Ear candling, an ancient treatment performed all over the world to relieve symptoms of tinnitus, blocked sinus’, compacted ear wax, sore throats, hay fever, headaches and migraines.

Practical
You will be able to safely perform a full ‘Hopi’ treatment to both ears with a specifically designed pressure point massage.
Students will be able to position the client correctly, aiding in deep relaxation and finishing the treatment with a bespoke massage to help relieve stress and tension from the face and scalp.
